This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of the Office of Higher Education, which is part of the State Education Department.

B2174-07: This accretion consists of a copy of the Office of Higher Education site produced on March 14, 2007, after Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains information about the office's history, mission, and organizational structure; newsletters (2002-2006); and news releases and related materials (2003-2006).

The Office of K-16 Initiatives and Access Programs section of the site contains information, forms, guidelines, and presentations relating to awards and scholarships and other programs for students preparing for higher education and the educators who teach them.

The Office of Quality Assurance section of the site contains information about college and university approval and accreditation, location of student records of closed institutions, a directory of all New York State college and university campuses, state teacher certification examinations pass rate data (1999-2004), a directory of licensed/registered non-degree granting proprietary schools (2007), and forms for the supervision of these schools. Also present are resources for students, parents, and school counselors and downloadable Microsoft Excel and CSV format data files regarding student enrollment, degrees, graduation rates, and student financial aid (1995-2005). Information about student demographics, employees, college finances, and the Statewide Plan for Higher Education and other policy and issue papers (2000-2001, 2005) are also included.

There is also content on the four main programs of the site.

The Office of College and University Evaluation contains information on accreditation for higher education institutions, and the policies and guidelines these institutions must follow to keep accreditation.
