Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of the New York State Council on the Arts. Most sites contain the following types of information: council's mission statement, press releases, annual reports, and meeting minutes. Also included is eligibility information, program guidelines, and other information about the council's architecture, capital project, music, film, performing/visual arts, literature, and individual artist grants for non-profit organizations, Indian tribes, and local governments. A list of council members and answers to frequently asked questions about council grants are also included.

B2203-07: This accretion consists of a copy of the Council on the Arts Web site produced on December 29, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office.

B2203-08: This accretion consists of a copy of the Council on the Arts Web site produced on April 29, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008).

B2203-11: This accretion consists of a copy of the Council on the Arts Web site produced on April 15, 2011, after Governor David A. Paterson left office.

B2203-19: This accretion consists of a copy of the Council on the Arts site produced on December 26, 2019. This site includes a blog (2017-2019) that highlights council-supported events and programs and a calendar of events (2019-2020).
