Administrative History

Senator Eric L. Adams, a Democrat, was first elected to represent the 20th Senate District, which consists of sections of the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Boro Park, Crown Heights, Flatbush, Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Sunset Park, and Windsor Terrace, in 2006. He has served as ranking minority member of the Standing Committee on Crime Victims, Crime and Corrections and the Standing Committee on Veterans; ranking minority member (2007-2008) and chair (2009-2010) of the Standing Committee on Homeland Security and Military Affairs; and chair (2009-2010) of the Standing Committee on Racing, Gaming, and Wagering.
