Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator Thomas P. Morahan. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.

B2243-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Morahan's official website produced on December 22, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, a district map, and press releases (2000-2006) concerning Timothy's Law, postpartum mental health screening, and other issues of interest to Senator Morahan's constituents. Information about the recommendations of the Senate Medicaid Reform Task Force, tax relief provisions within the 2006-07 Executive Budget, and federal legislation concerning bank processing of personal and business checks is also included.

B2243-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Morahan's official website produced on June 13, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, photographs, press releases (2008), and a district map. Also included are a list of Senator Morahan's 2008-09 legislative member items, information about a state property tax rebate program, and information about a Senate Republican accountability in government spending plan.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, some of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly in mid-2008. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
