Senator Joseph E. Robach, a Republican, was first elected to the Senate in 2002 while serving as a member of the Assembly (1991-2002). He represents the 56th Senate District, which consists of the Towns of Parma, Greece, and Brighton and part of the City of Rochester, all of which are in Monroe County. He has served as ranking minority member (2009-2010) and chair (2011-) of the Standing Committee on Labor and as chair of the Transportation Committee (2014-).
