Scope and Content Note
These files document discussions of land permit and land abandonment issues throughout the entire Barge Canal System. Records consist chiefly of correspondence between the main canal office and Department of Transportation Regional Offices (later Canal Corporation Divisional Offices). Background documentation, such as maps, is also sometimes included.
