Scope and Content Note

This series consists of correspondence, memoranda, press releases, statements, newspaper clippings, photographs, copies of invitations, schedules of events, brochures, pamphlets, and summaries of results and final reports relating to the 1957 and 1958 New York State Open House Week. Open House Week was established in 1957 as an annual event to enable the citizens of New York State to visit the various State government departments and agencies and to give them a better understanding of the operations of their government. Daniel P. Moynihan was the coordinator.
