Scope and Content Note

This series consists of copies of the publicly accessible websites of the Moreland Commission on Storm Utility and Response.

B2355-12: This accretion consists of a copy of the commission's website that was produced on December 28, 2012, approximately six weeks after the commission was created. It contains the text of the Executive Order that established the commission, capsule biographies of commission members, press releases (2012), transcripts of public hearings (2012), and reports (2007, 2010, 2012) detailing how the Long Island Power Authority and Consolidated Edison responded to electrical power outages caused by Hurricane Sandy (2012), Hurricane Irene (2011), Tropical Storm Lee (2011), and other major storms.

B2355-14: This accretion consists of a copy of the commission's website that was produced on March 5, 2014, several months after the commission issued its final report. It contains background information about the commission, press releases (2012-2013), transcripts of public hearings (2012-2013), and reports (2007, 2010, 2012, 2013) detailing how the Long Island Power Authority and Consolidated Edison responded to electrical power outages caused by major storms. Researchers should note that the commission's final report was published on the website of the Office of the Governor, not the commission's site.

B2355-20: This accretion consists of a copy of the commission's website that was produced on February 20, 2020. Its content is identical to that of the March 5, 2014 copy.
