Scope and Content Note

This series includes reports, research materials, and newspaper clippings related to histories, articles, and other materials written over the years by staff of the Rome State School and Rome Developmental Center. The series also includes one binder, "News Media/Department Policy Binder" (1972-1978), containing articles and other materials written for distribution to the media for promotional or explanatory purposes, a media contacts file, and newspaper clippings of items relating to such issues as budget cuts, patient releases, staff shortages, and structural changes to the agency.
