The Temporary State Commission to Study the Organizational Structure of the Government of the City of New York was created to make a study of the city's government with the ultimate goal of attaining economy, efficiency, and improved management. Record types include correspondence, drafts of proposed changes to New York City Charter with revisions and annotations, background material, and one private hearing transcript (August 25, 1953).
