The series consists of published volumes of annual reports of the commission describing functions, activities, and events of the past year, which the commission is obliged by law to present to the governor and legislature. Reports typically include informational segments on state prisons, reformatories, institutions for defective delinquents, institution farm production, parole matters, county and municipal jails, hospital prison wards, juveniles in jail, maintenance and operational costs, inspections, and recommendations of the commission.
