Scope and Content Note
This series documents the classroom activities (such as health, homemaking, industry, and music classes), people, personnel, grounds (such as dormitories, playgrounds, and educational/administrative buildings), and events (such as sports car rallies, plays, and graduations) of the New York State School for the Blind. Most of the photographs are black and white, with just a small number of color images included. Most of the photographs are not captioned, although a small number contain a date and other biographical information about the subject.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
