Scope and Content Note
This series contains select video recordings of the Governor's Arts Awards. These edited videos were produced by commercial, private, and affiliate cable channels and were possibly broadcast on PBS and cable stations statewide. This series also includes public service announcements produced by the New York State Council on the Arts, most likely as part of an "I Love New York - Celebrates the Arts" campaign; and one VHS tape of Chelsea Dock, a child prodigy pianist, performing at the Governor's Arts Awards in 2002.
Media found in the series include U-matic, Betacam, Betacam-SP, VHS videotapes, as well as one 1" reel-to-reel videotape.
