Scope and Content Note

This series consists of studies and reports on energy policy, research, and programs conducted under the auspices of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The reports span a period of nearly four decades and display the shifting focus and priority areas of the state's energy development initiatives over that time. While most materials relate to the state as a whole, some reports relate to specific municipalities. Topics of note include the development of hydroelectric, wind, and solar power; reliability of electric transmission and distribution systems; and the environmental impact of coal conversion technology.
