Scope and Content Note

This series consists of reports related to wildlife and habitat management programs of the Department of Conservation (later Department of Environmental Conservation). The series includes New York State reports submitted in compliance with the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act of 1937 (Pittman-Robertson Act). Reports summarize projects including habitat improvements, wildlife investigations, land acquisitions, conservation projects, and pathology activities, as well as projects related to the management of specific species such as deer, waterfowl, pheasants, wild turkeys, and mourning doves.
