Scope and Content Note

This series contains subject files generated by the Quality Community Interagency Working Group. Included are records from the Community Center Revitalization Committee, State Leadership and Interagency Coordination Subcommittee, and the Technology Advancement Subcommittee. The Community Center Revitalization Committee created a model for interagency, nonprofit, and academic cooperation. It developed and tested partnerships between state agencies and the State University of New York, City University of New York, and Cornell University to assess methods of supporting communities and achieving visible improvements in downtowns. The State Leadership and Interagency Coordination Subcommittee aimed to improve the administration of state grant programs and adopt a set of uniform Quality Communities Principles. The Technology Advancement Subcommittee addressed gaps in broadband service.
