Scope and Content Note

This series documents the ten-year duration of the Amphibian and Reptile Atlas Project, as well as other smaller-scale surveys of amphibian and reptile populations occurring outside the time frame of the project. Records include correspondence, photos, field notes, and survey data collection forms. Additional topics addressed in these records include methods for the protection of threatened herpetofauna and specific habitat areas, such as the Cicero Swamp Wildlife Management Area. These records were primarily collected and maintained by Alvin Breisch, who served as the administrator of the Amphibian and Reptile Atlas Project.
