Scope and Content Note

This series consists of records maintained by D. David Brandon, who served as director of the Office of Planning Coordination between 1969 and 1971. Records include correspondence, speeches, articles, maps, and reports. Topics addressed include conservation of rural farmlands and open spaces, development of the corridor linking Buffalo and Amherst, and urban renewal projects. Also included are a few maps from 1930, 1940-1945, and 1990 collected by Brandon during and after his time as director, likely due to a personal interest in the regional planning of New York.
