Scope and Content Note

These records document D. David Brandon's tenure as director of program development for the New York State Urban Development Corporation (UDC), concentrating most heavily on the years 1971-1975. Records include correspondence, memorandums, and pamphlets and brochures publicizing UDC projects. Oversized materials include maps, aerial photos, and detailed architectural drawings and plans of the former Delaware and Hudson Railroad Building in Albany (later owned by UDC). Notable topics covered by these records include the development of the West Side Highway in New York City and the creation of new communities such as Audubon (near Buffalo) and Radisson (near Syracuse).
