Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible websites of the New York State Psychiatric Institute, which is part of the New York State Office of Mental Health.

B2776-20: This accretion contains a copy of the main New York State Psychiatric Institute website produced on March 11, 2020 during the third term of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo (2011-). It includes newsletters (2007-2014) and information about the history and mission of the institute and its adult and child inpatient clinics and services, outpatient community clinics, and clinical support services.

Researchers should note that information about medical education opportunities and clinical research projects is not included in this copy; as of March 2020, this information was housed on websites maintained by the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry.

This accretion also includes a March 16, 2020 copy of the institute's Office of Research Oversight website. It contains information about the history of the institute's Institutional Review Board, a policy and procedures manual and other resources for applicants, a New York State Research Foundation guide to responding to allegations of research misconduct, and guidance materials for board members. Also included is information about the training and ethical standards required of all persons involved in the design or conduct of research involving human subjects and information for individuals who may be interested in participating in clinical research studies.
