J2024-06: These index books were transferred to the State Archives by the Court of Appeals sometime in 1982 along with other Court of Appeals related records but somehow became estranged until they were identified and accessioned as part of the 11th floor renovation project.

The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
