Scope and Content Note

This series consists of reports listing court-appointed guardians, committees, and receivers who had failed to file their inventories and accounts with the court three months after the filing deadline. The reports were filed with the court at each session pursuant to court rule 155.

Reports are identified as to date of filing and whether they were drafted by the Register or a Clerk of a Chancery Circuit. Each entry in a report contains the title of the cause or matter (including the name(s) of the infant, idiot, lunatic, or habitual drunkard), the name of the delinquent, whether the delinquent is a guardian, committee, or receiver, and his date of appointment. This series is incomplete. It contains only reports filed by the Register and Clerks of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th circuits.
