Scope and Content Note
This series consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings, public hearing testimony, and drafts of interim and final reports generated by the committee in its study of the New York State legislative process. Problem areas studied included the enormous quantity of bills introduced each session, assignment of bills to inappropriate committees, late filing of bills, difficulties with handling local government bills, and the possibility of dividing the legislative year into split sessions.
