Summary:
The New York State Assembly Standing Committee on Governmental Operations' Subcommittee on Affirmative Action researched, compiled information and reported on affirmative action as it related to the employment of women, minorities, Vietnam Era veterans and the disabled in New York State. The records in these files are the result of this five-year investigation which was accomplished through a series of hearings and by polling New York State government at both the state and local levels.
