Scope and Content Note

Volume one consists of articles from 1897-1898 pertaining to the Spanish-American War, and covers military operations and politics at home and abroad. Some of the publications included are: The Congressional Record, The New York Herald, The New York Journal, The New York Times, The New York World, Dario Oficial del Ministerio de la Guerra, El Por Venir, and Le Petit Journal.

Volume two contains articles ranging from 1897-1908 which cover the Russo-Japanese War as well as the Russian Revolution of 1905. Articles cover various aspects of the conflicts such as military operations, political coverage, and human interest. Some of the publications included are: The London Times, The New York Herald - Paris, The New York Journal, The New York Sun, The New York Times, The New York Tribune, The Washington Post, L'Avenir Militaire, and Kölnische Zeitung.
