Scope and Content Note
This series consists of booklets that were used to record water gauge readings for canals, rivers, and creeks throughout New York State. Covers of booklets are labeled with the name of the body of water; gauge number; and date range. The booklets contain instructions for gauge reading; day, date, and time of reading; elevation; weather; remarks; and name of observer.
