Administrative History

The New York State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) is a charitable solicitation of New York State employees conducted under the authority of State Finance Law 201-1. State employees may give to any of the charitable organizations that participate in the appeal.

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of the State Employees Federated Appeal.

B2179-07: This accretion consists of a copy of the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) site produced on December 22, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains information about the appeal's history, mission, and organizational structure, a directory of all the charities helped by the appeal, payroll deduction forms, and publications about managing and promoting local SEFA campaigns (2006-2007).

B2179-08: This accretion consists of a copy of the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) site produced on May 12, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains background information about the appeal, an updated directory of participating charities, and updated forms and campaign materials (2007).

It contains background information about the appeal, an updated directory of participating charities, and updated forms. B2179-19: This accretion consists of a copy of the State Employees Federated Appeal website produced on December 27, 2019 during the third term of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo (2011-present). It contains newer meeting minutes (2013-2019) and updated campaign materials, information about participating charities, and application and recertification forms.
