Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator George D. Maziarz. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.

B2240-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Maziarz's official website produced on December 21, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, a district map, and press releases (2000-2006) concerning environmental and other legislation that Senator Maziarz sponsored, events that took place in the 62nd Senate District, and other matters of interest to Senator Maziarz's constituents. It also includes a summary (2006) of Senate legislative action.

B2240-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Maziarz's official website produced on June 13, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, photographs, press releases (2008), and a district map. Information about key provisions of the 2007-08 Executive Budget and other matters of interest to Senator Maziarz's constituents is also included.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, some of the information contained within this site could not be captured in mid-2008. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
