Administrative History
Senator William J. Larkin, Jr. served as supervisor of the Town of New Winsor from 1976-1977 and as an assembly member from 1979-1990. He was elected to represent the 39th Senatorial District in 1990. During his tenure in the Senate, Senator Larkin has served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Governments, a post he held from 1993-1995. As of February 2009, Senator Larkin serves as Secretary of the Majority Conference, and Chair of the Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committee. He also serves as a member of the Transportation; Agriculture; Commerce; Economic Development and Small Business; Finance; Health; Insurance; Rules; and Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committees.
