Summary:
This series contains correspondence, memorandums, reports, copies of legislative bills, transcripts of statements and testimonies,
publications, and newspaper clippings. The files were compiled by the Central File Division of the Commerce Department and
include a substantial amount of records directed to and generated by the Commissioner's Office. The files deal with proposed
federal and state legislation as well as enacted legislation. They are concerned primarily with the effects of proposed bills
on New York State's commerce.
