Administrative History
The Niagara Frontier Port Authority was created (L. 1955, Ch. 870) and mandated to operate a port district, which embraced the cities of Buffalo, Lackawanna and Tonawanda, as well as the towns of Hamburg, Amherst, Cheektowaga and West Seneca. The Authority was later abolished (L. 1969, Ch. 1024).
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
