These microfilmed project files document the Adirondack Park Agency's (APA) mandate to implement the Land Use and Development Plan. Projects documented by these files are major ones, such as the Loon Lake Estates project, that had a significant impact on more than just the immediate area in which they were located.
Project files contain correspondence, memoranda, maps, plans, permits, notices of hearings, transcripts of hearings, newspaper clippings, copies of deeds, notices of completed permit applications, project review comments, affidavits, permit histories, APA decisions and rulings, project review site inspection reports, and various litigation documents such as complaints, orders to show cause, affidavits, notices, bills of particulars and demands for such, affirmations, and decisions. Separate from these project files are APA meeting minutes for 1971-1984.
