Scope and Content Note

This series documents the work of the State Energy Office to compile and adopt a "master plan for energy-related decisions throughout the state" as required by Energy Law Sect. 5-111. Since the expiration of Sect. 5-111 (effective Jan. 1, 1984), the SEO's authority to compile the State Master plan has derived from executive orders. State Energy Master Plans were published in 1979 and 1983. The files for both the 1979 and 1983 master plans contain testimony by environmental groups, utility companies, state agencies, and others; motions and briefs, exhibits; background reports; draft and final opinions and orders; and correspondence. The 1979 plan files also contain files of the State Energy Planning Board, including agenda, resolutions, notes, minutes, and correspondence.

15841-96: This accretion chiefly contains alienated material. Types of material include draft master plans; hearing transcripts; notices and reports of hearings; environmental impact statements; discovery requests and responses; reply briefs; and other material related to the State Energy Master Plan (SEMP).
