Scope and Content Note
The series consists of regular and special meeting files of the Public Authorities Control Board (PACB). Some of the records were apparently prepared by staff for Board members as background materials on pending applications and related exhibits, draft resolutions, and summaries outlining financial implications of projects. The records document the Board's monitoring of projects undertaken by public authorities, as well as Board decision-making.
16148-92: This accretion covers PACB meetings and applications dating from 1977 to 1986. Nearly one-half of the records pertain to an application by the New York State Medical Care Facilities Finance Agency (MCFFA), which manages hospitals and health-related facilities.
16148-97: This accretion consists of staff background files concerning Urban Development Corporation High Risk Targeted Investment Projects and public utility projects (gas and electric). The files generally contain copies of board resolutions, agreements and financial plans.
16148-97A: This accretion consists of staff background files concerning Urban Development Corporation High Risk Targeted Investment Projects. The files generally contain copies of Board resolutions, agreements, and financial plans.
16148-99: This accretion consists of certifications by the governor approving the issuance of tax-exempt financial obligations pursuant to the federal Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA).
