Scope and Content Note
This series consists of correspondence and memoranda commenting and interpreting Environmental Conservation Law (ECL) in addition to other state and federal laws and regulations. Interpretations of the laws commonly contain analysis of the legal language used, and a discussion of the effect of the statute or regulation on the Department of Environmental Conservation and the public. Additionally, this series contains occasional legislative bills and memoranda in support of the bills, as well as copies of cover memos for declaratory rulings.
