Administrative History
The Bureau of Historic Preservation Field Services reviews any project that may affect structures or sites listed, or eligible to be listed, on the national or state Register of Historic Places. The division reviews state projects pursuant to 9NYCRR 428, and federal projects pursuant to 34 CFR 800, and forwards recommendations to the State Board for Historic Preservation.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
