Scope and Content Note
This series consists of day files of former Commissioners Joan K. Davidson (1993-1994) and Bernadette Castro (1995-2006). The files contain copies of all outgoing, as well as some incoming correspondence and memoranda. Several files labeled "Routing" contain copies of predominantly incoming correspondence and memoranda. Subjects of the correspondence encompass all aspects of agency operations including hiring of staff, planning of commemorations, drafting of publications, allocation of resources, and communication with public officials and private citizens regarding historic site preservation.
