This series contains copies of local government grievance procedures filed with the New York State Department of Civil Service as required by Article 15-C of the state's General Municipal Law. The series consists predominantly of grievance procedures filed by counties, cities, municipal boards and authorities, boards of education, and school districts. Only a few documents relating to towns and villages are present.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
