Scope and Content Note

Each of the 72 Empire Zone administrative boards submits an annual report to Dept. of Economic Development for the purpose of monitoring Program achievements. These annual reports describe Zone activities during the preceding year, especially in regard to the economic development plan and its objectives. The reports provide information on marketing strategies used to achieve Zone objectives and indicate the success of the Zone and economic development plan in attracting new business and supporting the expansion of existing business. The reports also include detailed information on the tax and other benefits received by Zone businesses during the preceding year, the value of taxable real property within the Zone, and other financial and tax data relevant to the impact of the Zone on the community.
