Administrative History

The New York State Commission of the Sesqui-Centennial International Exposition was established by Chapter 642 of the Laws of 1926 to represent New York State at the Sesqui-Centennial International Exposition celebrating 150 years of American independence. The exhibition was held at Philadelphia from June through December, 1926. The nine-member commission was allotted a $100,000 appropriation to erect appropriate buildings for participation by New York State in the celebration.
