These maps and profiles from the Surveyor General were produced for a report to the legislature suggesting the best route
for a road never built. Field notes document surveys of a proposed route between Lake Erie and the Hudson River and include
brief descriptions of the land at each survey point. Maps show sections between towns and villages. Information includes town
names; waterways; roads; estate boundaries and owner's names and inns and taverns and names of their owners.
