This series consists of minute books compiled by the Council of Appointment. The Council selected individuals to fill non-elective
offices. The minute books record the date and place of each council meeting, the names of the members present, and appointments
made by the council. Volumes contain civil and/or military appointments. Each volume has its own index arranged by county
and then type of office.
