Summary:
The State Auditing Board was authorized to audit claims against the state for expenses incurred in the support of volunteers
during the Civil War. This volume contains the results of every claim presented to the Auditing Board. Data includes claim
number; classification (designated by capitalized or lower case letter); name of claimant; address (usually city or town);
by whom claim was presented; date claim was filed; description of claim; amount claimed; description of board's actions; and
final disposition.
