Summary:
This series contains four annual reports of the New York State War Council and a report from the War Council's predecessor,
the Council of Defense, which were assembled and circulated in order to inform all concerned parties of the war work undertaken
by the council's many agencies. These reports explain the organization's divisions and the divisions' responsibilities and
programs, and list senior personnel. Also included are two directories of federal, state, and "semi-official" agencies involved
in the war work.
