Summary:
This series documents the articles and quantity of items shipped using the Auburn and Syracuse Railroad Company. Each bill is signed by the superintendent of the railroad company and includes the toll that was charged for shipment. Bills were submitted to the Comptroller in accordance with a law of 1834 incorporating the Auburn and Syracuse Railroad Company and requiring it to pay canal tolls on freight it carried and to submit statements thereof to the Comptroller.
