Scope and Content Note
This accretion, the first group of a projected sixty tapes, consists of audio cassettes and typed transcriptions of interviews with seven women legislators. The Oral History Project is a program, undertaken with the assistance of Russell Sage College, which aims to document, through oral history interviews, the careers of those women who have served in the legislature since 1960.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
