Scope and Content Note

This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible websites of the Nassau Health Care Corporation. Researchers should note that these sites were note captured in 2014 or 2015.

B2144-07: This accretion consists of a copy of the Nassau Health Care Corporation site produced on May 3, 2007, shortly after Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains press releases (2005-2006), financial statements (2004-2005, 2007), operating budgets (2006-2006), a strategic plan (2006), newsletters (2005-2006), and other publications. It also includes information about the corporation's facilities, services, medical departments, and graduate and continuing education programs, abstracts of staff research publications, training materials and other information for current and prospective employees, and information for patients and visitors. Requests for proposals, information, and sealed bids (2007) are also included.

B2144-08: This accretion consists of a copy of the Nassau Health Care Corporation site produced on May 14, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). Most of the information contained within this copy is also present in the May 3, 2007 copy, but this copy contains newer press releases (2007-2008), financial statements (2005-2007), and requests for sealed bids (2008), and a newer operating budget (2008).

B2144-11: This accretion consists of a copy of the Nassau Health Care Corporation site produced on January 4, 2011, shortly after Governor David A. Paterson (2008-2010) left office. It contains updated information about the corporation's facilities and services, additional press releases (2007-2011), and operating budgets (2008-2011). Researchers should note that only the links from the main menu allow a user to get to other sections of the website. The links in the section itself do not work.

B2144-20: This accretion contains a copy of the Nassau Health Care Corporation site produced on March 20, 2020. It contains updated information about Nassau University Medical Center facilities and services, bylaws and policies governing its operations; board of directors meeting minutes (2007-2020); budgets (2015-2019); multi-year budget plans (2017-2019); and audit reports (2011-2019). Also included are press releases (2007-2020), requests for proposals (2015-2019) and sealed bids (2016-2019) and medical outcomes quality reports for the Nassau University Medical Center (2014-2017) and the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility (2017-2018). Information about the corporation's response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is also present.

Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, information about individual physicians affiliated with the Nassau University Medical Center could not be captured properly. In addition, the videos present on the live site were deliberately excluded from this copy on account of their size.

This accretion also contains a March 28, 2020 copy of the corporation's Family Health Centers site. It contains information about the services offered by six primary care centers, three high school-based clinics, and one facility exclusively for employees of the Belmont Park racetrack. Also present is information about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms and when and how to seek treatment and a request for donations of personal protective equipment for the centers' personnel.

B2144-21: This accretion consists of a January 11, 2021 copy of the main Nassau Health Care Corporation site. It contains additional information about the corporation's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional board of directors meeting minutes (2007-2020), budgets (2015-2020), audit reports, and press releases (2007-2021), and updated requests for proposals (2015-2020) and sealed bids (2016-2021) are also present.
