Central office records include documentation pertaining to the life and career of Alan Miller (Commissioner of Mental Hygiene from 1966-1974), Stephen DuBois (director of Gowanda Psychiatric Center, 1977-1985), and Lee Hanes (director of the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, 1970-1995), as well as Philip Wexler (Assistant Commissioner for Staff Development Training, 1966-1980) and Abbott Weinstein (Director of Statistical Analysis, 1966-1984). They also include speeches and other materials pertaining to Brown's work on adolescent programs.

Records pertaining to the Survey of Patient Characteristics (published in 1985) include staff memoranda and meeting notes, notebooks containing lists of OMH regions, facilities, and units, and handwritten worksheets for both the collection and distribution processes to obtain information for the survey.
