Scope and Content Note
This series contains copies of bills proposed by the Department of Labor, along with brief descriptions of their legislative history and supporting statements. Also included are copies of memorandums to the governor's counsel. Memorandums contain the recommendation of Industrial Commissioner Isador Lubin concerning action to be taken regarding bills proposed for the 1959 legislative session, along with legislative histories and supporting statements. Topics of interest include minimum wage regulations, rights of elderly workers, and equal pay for women.
