These files were compiled by the staff of Assemblyman Maurice D. Hinchey, who served as the chairman of the Assembly Committee on Environmental Conservation.
The files consist of memoranda in support of legislation; legislative bills; bill memoranda; committee bill memoranda; and correspondence. The files deal with proposed legislation that was sponsored or co-sponsored by the entire Assembly as opposed to bills with which Hinchey specifically was involved.
